Why does our Hard Wired (and battery backed up) smoke alarm go off when electricity goes out?

We have a hard - the wired smoke detector every time you leave the power, the alarms goes off —- even have battery back ups (and yes, the batteries are NEW!). Have we replaced the alarm that has twice triggered the alarm unnecessarily, he kept the place … why does this happen? Is it a problem with the wiring? And if you do its a wiring issue, I called an electrician, a surveyor, or an alarm system?
