I’ve got one going off now in the hall. I can’t remove it, and can’t see how to stop the beeping.

My family rented out a beach condo down in Florida once durin the 90’s that had 1 of these and one day it went off for no apparent reason. It was so loud that is was unbearable to walk past without plugging your ears. My dad had to tear it out of the wall lol.

I agree. Like 74 Park St. in Rutland, Vermont and 77 Park St. in Rutland, Vermont in the bedrooms.
Also like the old Simplex ones at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. (Greenfield, NH)

I’ve got one of these too. There’s actually supposed to be a little cap in the center of the unit there. The horn on mine is behind a grille and is labeled Douglas Industries.
